I had trouble categorizing this one because while they were originally made pixel-by-pixel in MSPaint, I slightly rotated them in Photoshop creating, well, blurry sprites and I wouldn't put that under pixel art. I first started drawing these sometime in mid-2010 and it wasn't until recently when I finally felt the inspiration to create more, easily tripling the amount of icons I originally had. The goal I had was to recreate various icons from Monster Hunter games into a uniform, 27x27(random size, I know) format and I think I've progressed rather well.
The icons were originally designed by Capcom but I have redrawn them from scratch, heavily using the official ones as references.
(The reason I rotated them was so they couldn't be edited properly but I might release clean versions of them to the public at a later date)
They're actually not from Dragon Quest at all, but Monster Hunter, an action RPG series that started on the PS2. Here's a Wikipedia article on it: [link] and the series even has its own wiki (albeit unofficial like most series' wikis): [link]
Fantastic icon strickers! They're absolutely perfect and fit the game style wonderfully. I can still remember what most of these icons even though it's been a while since I played, heh. Detailed, faithful to the original and yet with a slightly different twist. I like it.
Thanks, while I intended to get them looking as "legit" as possible, some of the proportions are a bit off because of the different size they were drawn in.
